Teaching Statement

Throughout my musical journey, I have been fortunate to study with mentors who nurtured me as a whole person, not only a cellist. I strive to do the same in my own studio—using the cello as a vessel to grow our curiosity, perseverance, critical thinking, empathy, and above all, a love for music.

With a deep understanding of the professional-level orchestral, chamber, and solo repertoires, I work with students from diverse backgrounds and experiences. My own musical foundation began in the Suzuki method before I pursued a professional performance career. As a teacher, I rediscovered Suzuki and was so inspired by the community I found there that I went on to earn a Master's in Suzuki Pedagogy.

Whether you're seeking lessons for your child, preparing for an upcoming audition or competition, or returning to music as an adult, my goal is to help you play with ease, excellence, and joy.
